I am extremely impressed with the quality
of strings and cables that Prostring have made up for me. The workmanship on the servings is exquisite and all string/cable lengths are precise. Shel
has produced a fast stable string for me with cables that don't creep.
Logan is 11 years old
and the youngest member of the robin hood club we know of! He stuck one arrow in another - cracking the noc and splitting the end
of the arrow while tuning his new bow. He was at 10 yards and seems very pleased indeed!
Congrats to you Logan!
He is shooting his new Martin Tiger with Carbon Express arrows and a whisker biscuit. Logan's dad Wes is a stringmaker here at ProString.
Logan especially wants Grandma and Grandpa to see this and all his buds from school.
It’s been a while since we talked and I just have to tell you. I went to Deadhorse AK and shot myself a caribou. I have enclosed a picture and if you would like to post it on the website as one of your shooters that’s cool. I have enclosed a couple of pics to pick from. I shot it at 37 yards, with my Hoyt Ultratec 64 pounds, equipped with the best strings in the business PRO STRING. Let me know if this works for you.
thanks John

Shel,
I want to thank you for the great service and fabulous strings. Even though we didn’t get the new bow string on the bow for hunting, the cables are flawless. With luck you will be making me a set for a new bow in spring. Thanks again for the first rate customer service and product.

Shel,
First off, I want to thank you for getting my new string to me so quickly! It arrived in Monday's mail. Let me compliment you on the fantastic string... You did something different than you did last year...this time the string was in my brace height range right off the bat! Shot a BUNCH of arrows with it and I don't think the string moved at all...and it is clocking in at 8fps faster than my old string?! Finally, thanks for the ProString decal...my hunting rig will display it proudly.
Thanks,
Jim Stark

Hi Shel,
I received your strings in August and installed them on my Mathews LX. They are the tightest strings ever and the peep sight settled in about 20 shots, they look great and shoot great. Last week our club hosted the R-100 shoot and I shot great with a score over 1000 points in the 100 target shoot! My rig is set up perfect for the upcoming bow hunting season. I will contact you soon for another set for my Mathews Ovation since the spot shooting season is fast approaching
Thanks Again,

Shel,
Just wanted to say thanks for an awesome string and cable. I put them on, after 15 shots or so the peep settled in and that was it. I gained alot more speed and the groups were incredible. Also was wondering if you could send me another sticker, I screwed mine up trying to put it on. I will gladly pay for it. Thanks again!

I got your strings in Wednesday & installed them that night, thanx a bunch!!!! J
I figured that you would like to see the finished product so I took a pic of not only my 2004 Mathews Conquest 3 but also my 2003 Hoyt Razortec “which also has a set your strings” & Audrianna’s Birthday present, a Bowtech Raskal which I will be getting a set from you for it soon.
Enjoy the pic, maybe you could place it or the pic of Audrianna & I on your sight…
Thanx Again
Gene
Well I just recently returned from the R-100 and shot great!!!! I shot a score over 1000 points for 100 targets.
I put your string on 4 days before the tournament. Put the string and cables on no timing issues to deal with, got my poundage back to where it is supposed to be, 25 arrows and the peep settled didn't have to move it one bit.
The next weekend had our local 3-D and had a misshap with my bow called up Shel on that night he said he will take care of me!!! Within 4 days had my new string delivered to my house.
The bow just feels awesome with the string and cables and is driving tacks with it.
I love your products and will tell all my friends to buy Prostrings...
Your friend,
John Kersten
Just to report on your cables and strings.
I shot at two clout competitions in the last two weeks. I don't know if you shoot Clout in the States but it is where you shoot, instead of a target, at a circle on the ground, the 5 scoring ring is 18" in radius.
Its a very old form of archery and dates back to the Norman conquest (1066). In the 13th century all yoeman had to spend one day a week practicing and football was banned. Of course the battle of Crecy was won by the English against the French by archers shooting clout. Then the target was a pole six foot high - now we have a flag only one foot high. Lots of people still use longbow but some of us use recurve and compounds.
For ladies the distance is usually 140 yards but can also be 180 yards.
I set two new UK records for 180 yards for a single clout (36 arrows) and double clout (72 arrows) - they still have to be ratified and I set four new Scottish records for the single and double clout at 180 yards and at 140 yards.
There is still a lot of R & D to do since with the high power compounds the target is very small because of the very small angle of impact especially at 140 yards where the arrows have a tendancy to bounce.
Regards
Heather
Hi Shel. The string you made for my Nova was awesome. I got my first buck with them.
It's fun shooting when my string doesn't keep moving. Thanks for the great string and cables.
Can't wait to get my set for my Triton!!!!
Thanks

Our season was a little slow this year. My son and I both took a doe
each during the second weekend of October. My son was shooting the Hoyt
Ultrasport with the 8125 string/cables I put on right before season
opened and of course I was shooting the TS-1 on my Havoctec. My son in
law took a cull buck mid December with his Hoyt MT Sport with the 8125
material put on when I changed my son's. I installed all these
strings/cables mid September 2 weeks before our season opener and they
were settled and ready to hunt after just a few shots. Nothing has had
to be adjusted since then. My boys are very happy with them.
I'll be shooting at a couple of new clubs this year and joining ASA. One of the clubs has ASA events and I will compete in those. Wish me luck. Would you have any light weight material caps that I could purchase for our hot summers here in Texas. I love the one you sent and worn it all winter but will be a little warm once our heat returns.
BTW, I know I posted this when it happened but I don't know if you saw the post. I won Shooter of the Year in Hunter Class at our club last season using TS-1 Pro Strings. My first 3D season. I was excited. Here's a picture of me and my boys.
Take care and look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Shel,
Hope you had a good hunting season!
Enclosed are some pictures of a sweet nine pointer I harvested Nov 15; he grosses 144 inches!!
Well, the 2005 3-D season is approaching quickly, I've been practicing hard and shooting better than ever. I will be attending all the ASA shoots this year, trying to break into the top ten shooters of the year. I finished in 30th place last year without a drop score due to missing the Louisiana shoot!
Never the less, I've been working hard to become a better shooter this year and keeping a good attitude. I hope I represent ProSTring well and look forward to being a part of the team in 05!
It has been great shooting for you in the past and I hope we can continue this good relationship for years to come!!
I really appreciate you guys. Other companies I shoot for include PSE, Vibracheck, Toxonics, T.R.U. Ball, Specialty Archery, Vinton Co. Archery, and All Seasons Taxidermy.
I'll look forward to hearing from you soon.
Doug Dove
The strings you sent me work great. I couldn’t believe the difference between the cheap strings that came with my bow and yours.
My job takes has me in Puerto Rico a good part of the year, which means I have to practice in Puerto Rico. There are no bow shops and you were a big help. You customer service is tops.
Attached is a picture of the muley I got this year, back home in New Mexico for the January bow hunt.
Thanks,
Jimmy Torrez
I saw a post that Dick had put up. He said that you were looking for stories of bowhunters and their game taken with prostrings on their bows.
I bought a set from you midsummer. After the first few hundred shots, I set the timing on my lx. after shooting most of the summer I have had to reset the cam only once. The servings are holding out great with no problems on the lobes of the cam.
I didn't get the buck that I was after this year, but it wasn't due to lack of effort or my gear. It just wasn't his time to hit my wall. I did however get a tasty doe.
Thanks for the string and cable set. You make a quality product which is hard to come across these days.
Thanks

At the begin of the ASA
season last year I was having a problem with peep rotation. I was put in touch with Shel and assured that he could help with the
problem.Well, a year later I use nothing but Prostring and cables.I was so pleased with the quality and great service that I asked to be a member of
the shooting staff.
I recommend his products to everyone for competion and for hunting. I no longer worry at the moment of truth about my peep sight. Thanks to Shel and his wonderful staff.

The other picture is my 8 yr old daughter Kristen. This will be her 3rd year of shooting 3d and her first year of ASA tournaments.

I have been using Pro Strings for two years now and there
is no comparison whatsoever to anything else. The strings and cables took a very short period to settle in and they stayed put, no stretch at all,
and no serving separation.
I count on the best when shooting 3-D and filming my hunts, and I don't have room for error. This is why I chose Pro Strings; because I know I can count on them to perform in the toughest conditions.
Sheldon is a great man and takes care of all his customers. Customer service at Pro strings is top notch.
I am honored to be working with Sheldon and Pro Strings, and you can check out his strings and cables at work on my upcoming video featuring
Pro Strings. Also, check out my product review on my web site at
Hi Shel,
I am living in HongKong, in this place about 500 people of compound shooters, compound archery is not common. we are all for target. we are shooting 30M, 50M, 70M, 90M, outdoor. sometimes we have 18M~30M indoor too. most of shooters they don't know how to setting and tunning their bow because they will not find the knowleage on wed and their English is not good. In HongKong huntting was illegal, so we will not hutting, but a few of people feel huntting is very nice, my friends with me want to try to bowfishing. i am very welcome to make friend with you, Shel. can you give me your picture[incloud your bow] too?
Jacky
Hi Shel,
Sorry I haven't written in so long, been real busy with the summertime chores. (Got to keep her happy, you know!). Anyway, I wanted to let you know that there is a new forum over at the Mathews web site. There are not a lot of posts there yet, but there have been several of Prostring (All positive). You might want to pop in over there, but be careful, they are pretty strict about sales on the boards. BTW, I got the MQ1 out last week, and it hasn't been tuned since last summer. Broadheads and field points in the same spot, cam in the same position. NOTHING has moved since I put on the strings that I got from you last year. I can't tell you how many times I would have had to retwist the Zebra cables by now.
Thanks again for a great product.

This is a picture of a goat I shot last year in Waimea Canyon on the island of Kauai where I live.
Thank you for your personal attention in completing my second order w/ you. I am so satisfied w/ your strings & cables, that after a year, I only want your product as backup for my hunting & target bow. The quality & price is unbeatable in my opinion.

Was just thinking about
you after I finished shooting. In fact I now hit the 1,000 shot mark on my TS-1 strings on my Ladyhawk and I took some pictures to send you.
Keep in mind that I do everything WRONG and abusive to test my strings. I have NEVER waxed the string or cable in order to check for
fuzzing and problems. I will attach these pictures to another email for you inspection. The strings are a bit dry....but as smooth and
clean as the day I put them on.
